Abrasive Waterjet Cutting
Precision Abrasive Cutting for Hard Materials
Abrasive cutting is a highly precise waterjet cutting process specifically used for hard, thick, and demanding materials. By adding a fine abrasive material (usually garnet sand) to the high-pressure waterjet, an extremely powerful cutting tool is created that can cleanly and accurately separate even robust materials.
In our modern production environment, water is pressurized to up to approx. 4,000 bar and then mixed with the abrasive material. The resulting abrasive waterjet enables burr-free, cold cutting without any thermal impact on the material. As a result, the material structure, strength, and surface quality remain fully preserved.

Your Advantages with Abrasive Waterjet Cutting
Abrasive cutting offers significant advantages compared to conventional cutting methods such as laser or plasma cutting:
- No heat input (cold cutting process)
- No structural changes in the material
- High dimensional accuracy and clean cutting edges
- Virtually burr-free machining
- No mechanical stress on the workpiece
- Cost-effective even for complex contours
Especially for demanding components, prototypes, or small production batches, abrasive waterjet cutting demonstrates its full potential.
Which Materials Can Be Cut Using Abrasive Waterjet Cutting?
With our high-performance abrasive cutting process, we machine, among others:
- Steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Titanium and high-strength metals
- Glass and laminated glass
- Natural stone, granite, marble
- Ceramics and tiles
- Technical plastics and composite materials
Even thick materials can be cut precisely and economically.
